Annabelle had discovered quickly that bears were the one foe that she should always avoid no matter what, and now there was one right their way. Knowing better than to charge ahead, she stayed back for a moment and assessed the situation. Dealing with this pest was not going to be easy as it had been with that bird thing. Bears were dangerous, powerful, and definitely won’t go down without a fight. That was why she was not a fan of dealing with bears; they were like tanks and had the power to tear a wolf apart with one swipe of those claws. Unfortunately a wolf did not have the muscle that a tiger did but that did not mean she was going to back out of this and have Angelus do all the work. From the looks of things she was also struggling with keeping the beast down.
That slicing sound caused by the blade was almost like a signal for her. The moment the tigress was on top of the bear was when she decided to step in and lend a hand. A malicious grin, showing once more her violent tendencies, appeared on her expression. It was almost like pack mates taking down large game when she charged, bringing her fangs down upon the bear’s shoulder to hinder movement, tearing into muscle. She might not be as powerful as a bear or a tiger but wolves in general had strength in numbers. This would be the first time she has actually stood her ground against a bear rather than avoiding them and heading off in the other direction. Had Angelus decided to run, even if the tigress did not strike her as the type to run away, she honestly would not have hesitated to do just that.
At least the bear seemed to bring some sense of normality compared to the tigress and that bird thing from earlier. It really did make her wonder what else lies deep within the Tundra. Surely there were more wonders to behold but they would never live to see them if the bear was not silenced. Annabelle was not sure if Angelus just wanted to cripple the bear or not, but she on the other hand wished to see it perish. It was in their way after all. She was use to taking out whatever was in her way, depending on the situation.

It's foot rendered useless, and it's shoulder now burdened with Annabelle's own fierce attack, the bear roared in fright. With both of them on it, it would be a much easier fight than if Angelus had taken it alone. Now, all she had to do was keep her weight on it and be sure it did not try to throw her off, and they would claim victory for the second time today against a much more impressive foe.
The tigress released her hold on the shoulder opposite of Annabelle, and aimed her fangs instead at the bear's nostrils. It bellowed at her, trying to deter her from her attack, but she replied with a blast of her own. She cut it short, surprising the ursine as her fangs clamped around his own snout, sealing it shut. Not only could it not breathe now, but Angelus tilted its head upwards, giving Annabelle a small window to tear open its neck. The tigress pushed her body into its chest, trying to force it to suffocate faster, if the wolfess didn't act fast enough.
Regardless of if she would take the opening or not, Angelus, at the same time, threw her tailblade at its other leg, trying to hit the major blood vessel she knew existed there. She couldn't see it precisely, but she sliced at an approximate area, depositing poison where she could.

It was a small window but the moment it was opened the black wolfess tore her fangs away from the bear’s shoulder and sank them into the large animal’s neck. Biting down with all the strength she had in her jaw, she hoped to bite into its windpipe to further cut off its air and essentially suffocate it. As she remained in her position, she could feel the animal weaken further and she gave a satisfied grin, once more admiring the teamwork of her and the tigress. However, just because the bear was weakened did not mean it was going to give up the fight. It actually seemed to have a lot of fight left in it, much more than that bird thing definitely. Even when pinned down it was still trying to get the two animals off it.
As it struggled, Annabelle simply dug her fangs deeper, latching onto it in a way where it could not get her off in the position it was in, especially with the weight of the tigress on it. She would make sure that the bear could not escape its fate. Within moments, victory would be theirs once again.

The tigress smiled around the bear's lips as Annabelle noticed the opening and took it. She could feel the bear attempting to gurgle and attempt to cough, but with no way to get that air out of it and take in fresh air, its eyes began to roll into the back of its head. It wouldn't be all too long now; in moments it would never come back from the blackness it was descending into. This wasn't the most honorable way to defeat an enemy, but Angelus was more worried about protecting herself and her own before gaining honor. Besides, if you killed a bear in a cave and no one was around to hear, did you really kill a bear?

In everyone’s life there is a first for everything and this little adventure had been full of firsts ever since she met Angelus. First there had been that bird, and she fought alongside an animal she would have never fought beside normally, and now there was this bear and here she was again. The animal was struggling to get air and was beginning to slow down. There was even a small amount slobber beginning to form around the corners of its mouth. A terrible sound left it that was definitely not for the ears of the faint of heart; it was dying. Annabelle kept her fangs in place, smirking mentally as the animal suffocated, making one final attempt to get the two animals off of it before it gave up the fight.
With one final attempt to get air, the bear fell limp and she released her fangs from its neck. She took a sort of victorious pose as she admired their work. The pose was not in any way her trying to show off in any way; more or less she was surprised that they had taken this beast out so easily. Angelus seems to have taken some injuries, and Annabelle herself had a few cuts from the bear’s claws, but they had come out alive once again. They really did make a good team, twice even. Something told her this adventure was about to get more interesting as time passed.

The tigress sighed as the wolfess relented, deciding that they were the victor. Angelus couldn't be certain on whether not it was dead until it felt chilled, and with something as large as a bear, that could take hours. The crimson beast did not feel as though patience in this matter was required, and instead brought her tailblade down on its jugular after Annabelle had removed herself from the beast. Alas, the blood flowed, but not as quickly as if it were still living. Perhaps they really had suffocated it. Well, it mattered not either way; by breath or blood, it would die.
Angelus examined their gains from the fight; a few scratches here and there. She herself could feel little trickles of blood running down her shoulders, but she knew they were minor, if worthy of a title at all. Anabelle had similar pricks from the bear's meager weapons, and a part of Angelus was somehow sad that they wouldn't share a scar together. "If your stomach hungers, now would be the time to silence it." The tigress rumbled to her, looking at the large meal solemnly. The feline was slightly saddened that her own stomach did not crave this massive feast, but that's what karma gave her for being so malicious to all of those trying to find shelter in the cave.

That was a good point, it has been awhile since she last ate and she was beginning to feel rather hungry. Annabelle was not a picky eater but she wasn’t sure how a bear would taste since eating one has never really crossed her mind until now. Still it was better than nothing so she would not complain, it was better to get something now than starve and find nothing later, giving Angelus a nod before she sank her fangs into the carcass, tearing off some flesh. Why should they let this meat go to waste? It was their kill so they should enjoy it; there was no telling when they would find something like this again. Or even take down something as powerful as a bear for that matter.
She really couldn’t find words to describe how the animal tasted, but it wasn’t half bad. This was definitely going to keep her hunger satisfied for awhile.
After she had her fill, she looked to the tigress and asked, “Are you not going to have a piece of this yourself?” Unaware that the crimson beast had already eaten, though the thought had crossed her mind since she wasn’t taking any of the meat for herself, the black wolf figured that they both should share this rather satisfying kill. Annabelle was not usually someone who shared with others but they had taken this bear out together so there was no need to allow her greed to emerge.

The tigress sat, dragging her tailblade somewhat intimidatingly (though that was not intentional) against the floor until her tail wrapped around her paws. She stared into the distance, where she knew the exit to be, listening for any more interruptions that might surprise them along the way. As she observed, she thought, mildly, of how this partnership with the wolfess would go. Perhaps it was because she had never given anyone the chance to talk to her before she devoured them, or maybe it was just the fact that they were all too scared before her. Out of all the animals she had met (and probably eaten) in the Tundra, it took a foreigner to become her ally.
Annabelle seemed at loss for words for a moment, not seeming to have eaten bear before. This season was the best time to get them; as winter approached, they packed on fat, and while the fat would be good for them in the winter, Angelus found it particularly disgusting. The tigress much preferred the redder meats, and so when she hunted for her stomach as opposed to for folly, it was often she would pick a well muscled buck for dinner.
When the wolfess inquired of her own sated state, Angelus cast a look at the carcass that was undecipherable. It would be a waste not to a least have some of their victory. The two fights had worked up something of an appetite, but not enough that a bear would be an enjoyable meal. "A snack, I suppose." She decided, finally. Making her way over, the tigress slashed at the chest cavity, or what was left of it. If she was going to eat any piece of this beast, it might as well be the best part. Her jaws snapped the ribs, and she tossed them onto the ground in a random direction. The heart was still relatively warm, and this pleased the tigress.
Licking her maw to clean off what she could, she began pacing slowly towards the exit once more. "I hope you do not expect to be taking leftovers, but if you wish to try, be my guest." Whether the wolfess understood her quip was not an interest to her, but she was serious either way. The only thing to really be carried would be a bone for its marrow. But if the wolfess really chose to, Angelus would not halt her.

Keeping some leftovers for their little adventure had not really crossed her mind enough for her to consider actually trying to take something along. What she ate satisfied her for the time being, though she supposed that she could bring a bone to chew on if she wanted. But Annabelle was a wolf not some puppy dog so she would pass on that, not wanting to lower herself anymore than she had by simply thinking about it. Needless to say she had absolutely no intentions of taking any leftovers even if it was slightly tempting. In a strange place like this there might be rogues lurking around, or unfriendly clans, that might look to steal it anyway, a risk she would rather not take.
Quietly, she followed the tigress back towards the entrance, the events so far running through her mind again. Having been quite the solitary creature most of her life she really couldn’t explain why her mind insisted on having her remember those two fights. Today she has done two things she usually did alone, fighting and eating. It wasn’t like she was afraid of being alone, obviously since she has been a loner for so long; maybe she just figured that perhaps it really was nice to have found a companion. While they walked, she also thought a lot about how this was going to go in her own way. Usually it took her awhile to think of someone as an ally or even consider adventuring with them, but this tigress was unlike anyone she has met.
“How far are the mountains from where we are, if you don’t mind my asking,” Annabelle asked quietly. After getting into two fights she was being pretty vigilant. Her ears strained for the slightest sound of something standing in their way. The question was asked mainly out of curiosity and not wanting to leave as quickly as possible, even if the crystals were starting to get to her a bit. Perhaps the noises she was hearing were a part of their little mind tricks, she wondered in amusement. It could also be Angelus’s tail making the quiet sounds but she has gotten use to that. Maybe the caves were getting to her after all.

The feline quietly pondered her imaginary map of the Tundra. The place was quite large, and the place she sought to take them fairly hidden. However, their journey from their current position wasn't too terrible, and the tigress blinked as she thought about it. "Perhaps a day or more. The general area is not far, but the place I seek is hidden from most." It was quite possibly longer than that; Angelus had not visited for some time. Wanderlust had taken her for a bit before she decided to take out some steam on the Crystal Caves.
The entrance was near; the light cascaded in, only to soon be devoured by the crystals within. It took the crimson feline's eyes a moment to adjust to regular sunlight, and her holographic pelt shimmered in the waning summer sun. Angelus pitied Annabelle at that moment, for the sun was more than enough to bear, let alone its light being reflected off of the tigress. Another thought struck her in that moment, and she turned to Annabelle. "There are no other places of myth in your head, is there?" For if there were, Angelus may have to lead them there first, just to disspell the magic that would have loomed in the wolfess' head, creating fairy tales and more curiosity.

A dry laugh came from Annabelle when Angelus questioned whether or not she was thinking of more mysteries and whatnot. She wasn’t really sure why she found the question so funny, but she figured it was because she had been so intrigued by the crystals in the cave. Her intrigue of them had died off pretty quickly once they were out of them, after her eyes had adjusted to the change in the lighting. Well, perhaps she would have to see what mysteries there were, assuming they could hold her attention like the caves had for whatever reason, but she was not going to voice that. In all honesty she felt that she’s had enough adventure for awhile and taking a day to just catch a glimpse of the Tundra while they hiked to the mountains would prove satisfactory for the time being.
“Not particularly, so don’t worry your pretty little head off,” The black wolfess said once her laughter died off. She would not doubt that there were mysteries but at the same time she wasn’t going to wander aimlessly in search of them, nor was she about to drag her companion around the every corner of the great Tundra. It was not really worth the trouble, but if she discovered something that interested her then she would poke around a bit and see if it was worth it. After the encounters in the caves she was sure that the mountains would be just as welcoming and she wasn’t about to let her curiosity get the best of her.
