[atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 425px, btable] you can be hunted or be the | The eagle perched on a branch, eyes discerning and analyzing the surroundings that took place in the forest. The eagle could see everything, from the slight rustle of the leaves to the sight of another bird taking off from the forest, presumably to find game in other places.
Such naivety, any good hunter knows that the game in the dark forest was plentiful, where those miserable meat are attracted to. And since Hunter was a good-- no, great-- hunter, he knew that eventually, game was going to spring out of nowhere. As long as he kept quiet, and the meat will think that there will be no harm and reveal itself.
So as usual, the golden eagle shrunk back, folding his wings and hid behind a few leaves. Though his golden body was something difficult to hide, it should be enough for now, as long as people don't look up. Notes: N/A.

Myst didn't like to hunt prey this fast, but out in the plains or forest, so far from her natural habitat, she had to make due. And while the snow leopard may have been a sweet individual, she was a carnivore at heart, and she was determined not to let the rabbit in front of her escape. She was desperate to close the gap between them, but she was not a distance runner, especially one suited to zigzagging through trees.
A rabbit was a paltry meal for one suited to eating mountain-dwelling goats and sheep, but she was hungry enough to try to catch it. She failed to note, however, that the chase was taking them closer to Hunter's tree.

[atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 425px, btable] you can be hunted or be the | Ah, finally! The Hunter saw his prey just scurrying about as it was being changed by what looked like a snow leopard. So he wasn't the only predator in the wild woods, it certainly wasn't good to know but the snow leopard, so far, looks like she's actually helping Hunter rather than bothering him. The prey was now out in the open, which made it easier to catch.
As Hunter prepared his wings, he kept his sight trained on the rabbit, not blinking even a bit, as all good hunters should. He then swooped in and caught the rabbit with much expertise, and then immediately flying back up on another tree closes to him, perching on a branch as he placed the rabbit in front of him, who was killed by the eagle's vice grips.
Immediately, Hunter feasted on the rabbit. The taste of meat was satisfying, as always, and he just couldn't get enough of it. What he wasn't thinking, however, was the snow leopard that didn't catch her dinner. And when he realized the fact that the snow leopard may have been lingering nearby, Hunter looked up to possibly greet the snow leopard silently if she was still there, and then he would continue back to his feast. Myst was within lunging distance of her quarry when a brown bolt crashed on top of it. The rabbit's squeal was muffled by feathers as the eagle carried it back up into his tree. The young snow leopard came to screeching halt in front of the tree, shock and dismay written on her face. She glared at the eagle, who was nonchalantly eating the rabbit she had worked so hard to catch.
"Th-that's mine!" she shouted up at it. She wasn't much for confrontation, but the eagle's theivery had made her mad. "If you don't bring it back, I'lll...I'lll..." She reared up, locking her front claws into the tree's trunk. "I'll come up there and take it back myself!"
While the eagle's large beak and sharp talons made her nervous, she knew she was larger and was determined to get her meal back. An apex predator back home, she had never been stolen from. Scavengers had watched her eat before, but none had ever dared snatching a bit from under her nose.

[atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 425px, btable] you can be hunted or be the | Oh, so the leopard was still there waiting for the eagle to finish eating. Huh, why didn't the leopard get the message that her food was the eagle's now? The actual hunter that clearly has the right for the meat of a rabbit. The delicious rabbit.
The leopard was, apparently, saying a bunch of mumbo jumbo in a series of cat growls, which, since they were different species, could not understand at all. So Hunter assumed that the leopard was angry (of course) about her meal being taken away. But she didn't look at all very convincing or rather dangerous. The eagle gave a low chuckle, this must be one of those timid leopards. Then the leopard sunk its claws on the tree.
Wait a minute, this leopard actually planned to climb up the tree to catch the eagle? Did she not know that the eagle could just fly away at any moment? She wasn't very smart to not think about that, and to give an example of what the eagle just could do, Hunter picked up the rest of the rabbit, careful not to drop anything, and flew over to an opposite tree in a taunt for the leopard.
And there, on a high up enough and strong branch which should take a few minutes for the leopard to climb up, should she try to climb up, the eagle rested without a word and continued eating the rabbit, looking up now and then in mockery of the leopard. Notes: N/A.

Myst jumped off the tree as the eagle flew away, grinding her claws in frustration as he simply chose another tree. Well, she couldn't climb up, but perhaps her gift could help. Myst stood up, making direct eye contact with the eagle. Her pale eyes took a new color, a vibrant, glowing. The glow moved in rings down the length of her body, lighting up her black spots as it passed. Her goal was to hypnotize the eagle so he would take less notice of her climbing the tree. Slowly, carefully, she moved towards the tree, then began to climb, digging her long claws into the bark. Some distance up, she glanced at the eagle again, and a sudden rage filled her. It was her prey, damn it.
How dare he take it?!
She increased her pace, practically jumping up the tree as she made use of her powerful legs. She lunged at the eagle when she thought she was close enough, claws out, angrier than she had ever been.
(Sorry for the really crappy post, but I didn't know what else to do. He can't speak anything but bird, so she couldn't call him a coward and get him to come down and fight, and this thread would have been useless if she just gave up.)

[atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 425px, btable] you can be hunted or be the | Wait a minute... Just what was that? The eagle stared at the weird leopard when she began to... Glow. It was weird for a leopard, and the eagle had never seen anything before, just what was happening?
True enough, as it was the leopard's intention, the eagle could only watch, mesmerized by the show of lights from the leopard's body. The eagle could only watch as the leopard hopped on the tree and began climbing her way up, only thinking as hard as she could about the events that was currently happening, and though it was weird for the eagle, he had taken his mind off the food. Although, the light show that was happening right now was also quite weird, so it was quite possible for the leopard to take the food at any moment in a surprise tackle or something like that.
On the other hand, the eagle had completely ignored the wolf, as he watched the glowing spots of the leopard, and unable to drag his attention away from it. Notes: Ugh, sorry for the shortness of this post.

(Thanks for letting me god-mod And I'm so so so sorry for not posting sooner!) Tree climbing took more energy than mountain climbing, but Myst was determined to reclaim her food. Slowly, she was able to bring herself up to the branch. It was now or never. Her blue glow flashed brightly once, hoping to startle the eagle into flight while she grabbed the rabbit. But she had misjudged the branch width, and as she hauled herself onto it it gave under her, as leopard and rabbit crashed to the forest floor. Myst was able to land on her feet, although one of them was struck by the falling branch. She drew in her front paw with a hiss of pain, but noticed the rabbit was laying in easy reach> She pounced it, looking up at the eagle. "Maybe that'll teach you to take what isn't yours." she said, her eyes daring him to come down and take it by force.
