((IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING CATACLYSM, IT IS PROBABLY A GOOD IDEA TO JOIN THIS THREAD. The hulking figure seemed to be a statue chiseled from blackened stone as Sky stood upon the highest of the hills he could find. The large male had been scouting out these lands, and the ones near them for weeks. This had plenty of valleys and hills, perfect for nestling into and shelter for a growing pack. The other seemed to have the perfect food source year round.
He had chosen well. But of course, he had! After all, how could one of such glorious stature make an ill decision on something so important. Thoughts wandered for a moment as to where that wench of a sister of his had gone, but a dismissive flick of his ears scattered them away into the rolling hills. She would be back soon enough. She never strayed from him for too long. Precious girl practically worshiped the beast that stood there. Bi-colored eyes stared ahead, a smirk crossing his muzzle. As he strode downward into the valley, anyone standing below would quickly find his colors to be much paler than originally thought. In fact, besides his eerie gaze, he looked like the stereotypical knight in shining armor. Pale colors, handsomely carved, regal features... Acute intelligence showing clearly through his shining gaze as it scoured over the land. After stopping at the bottom of the hill, the male laid down the last of his scent markers.
The last of that bit of tedious work was done. Flicking his tail to one side, Sky pranced up the hill, ascending to the top with ease. The male's head tilted back, lips parting as a baritone song ran clearly over his newly claimed lands, "I, Sky, claim these lands in my own name. They shall now be known as my own property, and the property of Cataclysm, my Clan. Let all who enter hereafter know that they must report to me, King of Cataclysm, or risk their own." The male allowed his song to ring out. Eventually, they would come.
Oh, yes, they would come. Some would shy away from his practices... That see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil type philosophy. Others would challenge it. And, others still, would embrace it-those, were the creatures he was looking for. and, sure enough... They would be found.
It just would take a little time. And patience. The male huffed, sitting upon his haunches and staring out. Where was that little wench he called kin? An annoyed growl left his muzzle. Even though she never stayed away long, he still wasn't fond of the thought of her wandering about. She never did know when to keep that damned mouth of hers shut... And he still needed to reap the lands for more stock.
Once, that is, he had a following. And he was sure that would happen soon enough. Or perhaps not?
Either way, he could wait... He could wait.

Young lass would firmly stand, paws glued to the ground beneath her. Dark gray fur would ruffle due to the wind. Pale-green eyes would dance about the lands before her, examining what her brother was claiming. Was he truly looking to bring other wolves into his life? Was she not good enough for him? Ha! Well, if any of these wolves thought they were going to get buddy-buddy with him, she'd rip their throat out. Eyes narrowed at the thought, claws would dig into the ground as Azyra headed off towards where her brother's scent was strongest. Ears perked as a song was heard, and a small growl would be emitted. So he was seeking to create a pack, have other wolves who thought they were worthy of his presence prance right up here and join so easily. No. She'd make them do something to prove themselves. She had to. Surely Sky wouldn't want weaklings in the pack?
A snort would be emitted, eyes rolling, before she set off at a steady pace to locate her brother. He, of course, was standing over the lands he'd claimed as his own, and she dipped her head at him. "Sky." Eyes would focus at the ground for a moment before allowing herself to stand up straight, appearing firm and loyal to him; just as she wished. Surely he'd feel that he could trust his sister to be in his pack? Oh, what was she thinking - of course he would! I'm his sister, a part of his life! He would never leave someone so loyal behind. At the thought of loyalty, a crooked smile would form on her maw. Eyes gleaming with happiness for a moment, the thought of defending him from any sort of threat - rival packs, wolves who actually thought they were higher up than him. No. Sky was a god. He was the highest wolf there was, sometimes she felt that even she was not worthy of his presence! Yet, she'd lingered with him so long that she felt she was worthy of his attention.
Padding forward, the femme would stand firmly next to Sky, eyes narrowing to wait for the first weakling to perk their ears and come prancing towards them so she could teach them what it felt like to have their eyes gouged out. Ah, yes; no tiny little girl would weasel her way into this pack and hope to win over Sky; no, no, no. Nope. Even though she wasn't his mate, she wouldn't let him have such a weak, hopeless little scrap for one. Such a gift to these lands deserved better; the best! And the best... well.
That was Sky, and anyone who didn't know it would meet Azyra's teeth relatively quickly.

The fiery brute loped across the outer lands of the tundra, breath coming and going smoothly. He knew where he was headed, before he even heard the mighty voice of the King. Once he heard it, though, he broke into a sprint. Blitz wanted to be the first to stake his claim in the cult. Sky had just finished his speech when the boy appeared over the peak of the hill. Barely out of breath, Blitz voiced his dark greeting. "Good day, my King," the brute sneered, dipping into a dramatic bow. "I heard of the clan you were forming and have come to... well, gain my share." Blood-hued eyes dragged across the curves of the female that stood next to Sky. Attractive little thing. Blitz held in a seductive grumble as he looked her over, settling for a wink. He sure hoped she wasn't taken.
Blitz had planned to not add any cheesy formalities to his greeting, but it seemed to prove necessary, lest Sky chase him off himself. "You can call me Blitz..." he grumbled. He started to grow impatient as his bi-polar temper began to surface. "So? Am I in or not?"

[bg=08060b][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true]Writhing tendrils of vivid hue danced within the confines of two flaming orbs, their hungry tips kissing the darkness with fervent greed. A massive paw pressed into the earth, soon followed by the stamp of its three counterparts. Without any clue as to where his herculean limbs steered him, the monolith slipped through the forest with ease, winding gracefully around the dense timber without a moment of hindrance. Unsure of his destination, the titan gave way to the magnetic pull that gripped him, leading him through the underbrush outlining the Jang Hills. It was surprising that a beast of such mass could move with ethereal silence, limbs stirring beneath his colossal body with agile fluidity. Being nearly seven feet tall and weighing in at three hundred and one pounds did not suggest a nimble creature, so it was rather astounding that the heathen could slide through the forest undetected by even the sharpest of eyes or ears.
Slender filaments of golden light slid past the thin spacings between the tightly woven fronds, their warmth encouraging the hidden beast into their clement embrace. Without hesitance, Felix stepped into the open field of grassy alpine, though the moment his feet touched the downy green, a call rung throughout the hillsides, stealing his attention for a moment as the arrogant song brushed rather uncomfortably against the soft innards of cognizant tympanums. It was the typical claiming speech of a new Alpha, though there was a hint of a god complex in the haughty lyrics that both irritated and intrigued the demon. He was itching to see the face of such an audacious being; only then would he decide whether or not to ask about this “clan” or put the conceited whelp in his place. Supple blades of green bowed to the pressure of hefty paws, bending backwards upon themselves to kiss the earth with their soft tips. As the weight was lifted, the grass did not spring back up like it would have under lighter influence; all resilience was lost under such elephantine mass, forever binding the sod and the soil in an adamant embrace. This action was perpetual as muscular appendages stirred beneath his colossal torso, carrying him to this Sky that claimed to be king.
It wasn’t long before his lengthy strides brought him to the base of the hill on which resided the white wolf whom had called his claim. Boldly, Felix ascended the slope, head held proudly upon his thick neck as his abnormally long, serpentine tail slithered deviously behind him. As he neared the top, he briefly took notice to the pretty little black female and bright orange male beside Sky, offering them no more than a nod of his skull before he turned his full scrutiny onto the white male. Yes, he was big, but Felix was bigger. He had about three inches on him, and he made no move to lower himself in any submissive manner as he studied the silver knight. This lasted only a few moments before the giant spoke, black lips curled into a cool smile. "Sky? I’m Felix.” His deep voice slid from between his barbarous fangs, smooth and charismatic undertones keeping his voice from sounding too dominant as he addressed the stranger. "Your call has intrigued me. Tell me more about this clan.” Not quite an order, but it was certainly an offer to sell his case to the Russian beast if he had any desire of having him in his ranks. If he didn’t want him...well, that was Sky’s loss. |

The male's ears twitched at his name, though no more of a response was given to his sibling. It was typically all the acknowledgement she never got, a flick of an ear or tail... a roll of his eyes. Really, his sister's clingyness was, more than anything, a hindrance. A snort came from his muzzle as the breeze blew past, tickling it. He could feel her hovering over him. Well. At least she was loyal. "Well, sister," Sky began, smirking a bit, "Soon we'll have an... appropriate place for myself. And for you." A soft snicker left his muzzle, though composure was regained quickly- well before anyone else came around. First it was the orange male. Sky nodded to him as he mentioned him being King. The monarch looked the brute over, giving a slight approving nod. He would be... suitable, for certain aspects of things. Yes, there could be a place for him. "I think there'll..."
Sky's words trailed off at the sound of the black male's approach. Upon introduction, Sky flicked his tail, already standing and nodded curtly, "Blitz, Felix, gentlemen. Thank you for displaying an interest in my ranks, here." Polite, charming. Clearly, the male knew how to speak- words falling from his lips like honey, "You know well the... other Clans, as they want to call themselves, that roam this land. They're soft. They allow just about any common chaff to join their ranks. I intend to be different." The male allowed the words to sink into the other males' heads before continuing, "You, Felix, ask what I have to offer. And this is, indeed, a valid inquiry. And so, I'll skip the flowery description to you and, instead, get right to business. After all, time is a commodity." Sky's demeanor changed, suddenly a little less welcoming, a little less of a performer. Instead, now, he seemed quite business-like... Ready to lay down what was what in his offer, "First, I'll tell you the practicalities. I have claimed the Vole Fields as well, a year round source of food. I can almost guarantee that you'll never go hungry. Second, these hills are a common place for many herds to stop and rest during their migrations. Third, this place will guarantee a safe area for you to sleep in every night. Fourth, power. I do intend to eventually expand my territory. And, finally..." A wicked grin spread across his face, "Unrestricted breeding to any female in the pack. Really... What more are they to us than a vessel for our descendents? Any female you find is yours for the taking. No questions asked. No need to ask for a litter of pups... Hell, you don't even have to keep track of the little buggers if you don't want." There was another pause before Sky finally finished, "Gentleman, I offer you... paradise."
A tempting offer, indeed.

A smile would creep up on the maw of the femme, eyes gleaming with interest and admiration as her brother spoke. An appropriate place to sleep and stay? For the remainder of their lives? Ah, yes, it would do very well, then; all doubts she'd so far had seemed to vanish in a split second. Eyes would dance about the land as she searched for the first weakling, teeth ready to sink into the skin of a warm-hearted weakling who dared approach the two siblings. Yet she was disappointed at the strength she saw in the first wolf that came about, seating themselves beside her. Ignoring the growl he made, she would only watch him from the corner of her eye, ready to sink her teeth beneath his skin if she so chose to.
It was only a moment before the next one approached, yet another strong-looking wolf of massive size, even larger than her brother, which was saying something; but not by much. Azyra would give a flick of her ear, approving of him. Where were the weaklings? This was all so disappointing. She was looking forward to sinking her teeth into a runt that came prancing towards her brother, going off about how they would be a lovely asset to the clan. Ha! She could take them down with one paw. A silent snort would pass before she watched her brother, listening to him speak. Vole Fields, food year round, unrestricted breeding rights to females... Wait, what? Ears would perk up to listen to what her brother said even more clearly. Surely that doesn't mean me as well? she thought, eyes widening; not in discomfort or even disapproval, simply surprise. She hadn't expected him to treat his females like that, yet, it was good he was going to; weaklings deserved to be treated like that. Anyone soft, or gushy with no real strength didn't deserve to have any rights at all!
A small nod of approval would be sent in Sky's direction. It wasn't like it applied to her - hopefully - so what did she care how he decided to treat the other femmes in the clan? A shrug would form on the wolf's shoulders before focusing back on the other two males. Were they going to join? It would be too good of an offer to pass up, surely. No one in the right mind would pass such an offer up!
...Well... not like Azyra was in the right mind, but still.

(( Character Name: Vorlen Rank Desired: Guardian [maybe a subordinate/wanderer first?] Moral Alignment: Chaotic Evil))
Yellow-eyed male's eyes would flash with a hint of curiosity as a song would echo through the Jang Hills. Ears perked up, the brute would lay one blood-colored paw before the other, followed by his much lighter back paws. A steady pace would bring him there in only a few moments, yet he'd already noticed three other wolves besides the one that made the call; which one had, he wasn't sure, but Vorlen was guessing it was the male that sat there proudly, looking like he had the answers to everything in the world. Appearing bold, the young male would pad closer to them until he was only a foot or so away from them. "Hello," he would state deeply. "Have I missed the meeting?" The question would emit just before his next words of introduction. "I am called Vorlen. I have heard your call, Sky." He nodded to the wolf he assumed was this new king and listened for details of the clan he was forming.
As he waited, the male examined the other three wolves. There was a huge wolf, larger than even him or Sky, and also a bright-colored wolf. Sitting in between Sky and the orange wolf was a femme, appearing to be pretty large, herself. A small nod of approval, barely noticeable, would come from him before he turned back and focused in on Sky. It wasn't like she would've noticed his nod, anyways; she was too focused on the king to really even notice him that much. For a moment, he pondered whether or not she even realized he was there, but he decided that even if she didn't, it wasn't that important; Sky was at the moment. He was the king of this new clan, and, well, to be frank, Vorlen wanted in.

Blitz soaked up the king's every word, hungry for more. Paradise, indeed. His blood-red eyes flickered over to the female who stood at the king's side. Free breeding rights, eh? He would certainly go looking for her later.
Head snapped to the side as the newest arrival made himself known. Plenty of males now... but Blitz didn't mind a little healthy competition. He sized them all up. The dark brute, the one who called himself Felix, was quite intimidating in stature. Blitz was large, but he was not THAT large...
This new wolf, Vorlen, was less of a shock, but still, he looked strong. Looking over the brutes grew tiresome after a while, and so the flaming boy returned his attention to the attractive little lady. He leaned forward, sniffing at her. Blitz's irises glided over her curves once more, and he licked his lips in anticipation. "What's your name, sugar?" He crooned.
