Writing Competition

Hello everyone! It's about that time for our first competition! This time around, we have a writing competition with a little twist to what we is usually asked for in a writing comp. For this one.....you must write a poem about someone else's character. It doesn't have to be a certain length, it doesn't even have to rhyme. Below are the rules and the more important part, the prizes.


Rules
001 | You may not do a character that someone else has already done. Be sure to scan the entries, the name has to be listed on the form. You can post and reserve someone but if you don't end up writing, I will deduct 50 coins from your account...even if that puts you in negative coins. I'm serious.

002 | Do not plagiarize. Many of us are well versed in poetry and other writings and you will get caught if you do it. Remember, stealing is grounds for us to ask you to leave and we really don't want to do that. We love you.

003 | Be creative! This is supposed to be fun.

Poem:
The sun is dimming,
foreshadow of the chaos to come.
Time is slowing,
there will be no place to run.

Hail to the Reaping,
the Sky thundering down the pain,
Hail to the bleeding,
that time of year is coming again.

Hush little daughter,
he won’t choose you tonight,
eyes are set on a much larger prize:
Domination; spreading his might.

Hail to the Reaping,
the Sky calling forth the tears.
Hail to the mourning,
flooding the lands with fear.

He’s oh so endearing,
how could you deny
his call for your body,
or the feelings inside?

Hail to the Reaping,
the Sky howling down the Cataclysm.
Hail to the death
of who you used to be.

Poem:

Shae’s that snowflake that everyone wants to catch,
Slipping through your fingers and touching your nose.
A laugh and a giggle, she’s a kid at heart,
but not afraid to strike a pose.

Shae’s that alabaster spunk you hate to love,
just look at that face, you can’t get enough!
The trees and ocean mix in her eyes.
Careful with her games; you might be in for a surprise!

Don’t blink, you might miss her
running around, longing for her sister.
Taylor was stolen from her by passion,
now she wanders in a lonely fashion.

Shae’s that ivory intensity you hate to love,
just look at that face, that cutesy fluff!
Try not to mock her small size;
her friendship is a valuable prize.

Poem:

A flower in the cold night
A pure figure against the dark sky
Kind and loving with a place in the world
Prancing around the riverbank
Nary a trace of anyone other

Though suddenly eyes materialize
From the trees, the bushes, the grass
Grabbed and dragged, she lay paralyzed from fear
Descending further into darkness
Of which she never escapes

A maniacal laughter rings in the air
Eyes closing, thoughts repetitive
Chaos surrounds her
Words stolen by fear

Evil lurking around every corner
She lay helpless in its wake
The light has perished
The dark has lingered
The Reaping has begun to take
