Suggestion?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I have realized that, on occasion, we as role players need to brush up our writing and such. Also, I think it would be a good opportunity for less experienced role players to be mentored by those of us that have been around for a good long time and set up a sort of RP training thread. None of the posting would be IC and it could contain a list of tips and tricks- such as what to pay attention to in a post, etc.

I dunno if this is something you guys would be willing to do, but I'd personally be happy to mentor.

I think this sounds like an interesting idea. I know that other sites do it, but I've never heard how helpful or sucessful it is. Overall I think it's worth a try and I, too, would enjoy mentoring if needed.

I will certainly think about how to put this together, and I'll get back to you on it as soon as I figure something out. I certainly like this idea though.

Thanks for considering. I know this has helped several younger players and I'd like to see them succeed as much as anyone else in the site.

I've seen it help out a lot of people as well and fully agree with this idea. However, I think maybe it should be a sub-board in the member area board, the one we're posting in? Or maybe have its own board? Just one thread would be... well. I don't know where I'm going with that, but I think we'd be better off with a board and having specific classes or whatever. xD I have a system that I would be willing to run all by myself and explain to anyone who's interested.

It would just be more organized the way I'm thinking of it, plus, I think, a bit easier.

I've seen places where they provide tutorials in an OOC tutorial sub-board, with each thread ranging from how to RP, how to create templates, etc. Something to just think about if people are stuck with creating other things like plots or if we have anyone willing to create something of the sort.

Another thing that could work is the first suggestion is something that's called an RP School. It should have it's own sub-board, though, as I imagine that one thread would only be with one student to make it easier. I thought that it would be logical for the staff members to be the teachers, or maybe we should have a whole new mod group just for teaching. Or heck, maybe even members can, after meeting a specific requirement (must have posted 30 posts or something). Just my thougts.
